A place that connects people and nature
We aim to offer an agritourism experience with local producers that brings people and nature together.

About North Awaji Island Agri Farm Stay Cooperation Council
The Beginning from the Ancient, "Miketsu-Kuni" (blessed with a rich food culture), Tona Resort Awaji City, and The Island of Flowers, Milk, and Oranges. The Council was established in October 2023 by a group that provides local production, accommodation, and meals and loves the sea and northern Awaji Island's natural environment. The dots will eventually become lines and then surfaces, and we aim to offer hospitality to visitors as a united community.
The Council is located in the northern area, the gateway to Awaji Island. It is easily accessible from the Keihanshin area, Kobe Airport, and Shin-Kobe Station and can be reached in approximately one hour by flight or Shinkansen bullet train. After crossing the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, you will find a resort area surrounded by beautiful nature.

A Farm Stay Unique to North Awaji Island Agri Farm Stay Cooperation Council

The regional farm stay council was established with the cooperation of organizations that offer accommodation, meals, and experiences in the overall Kita-Awaji area. Around the rich natural environment of Awaji Island, many events are held regularly throughout the four seasons, with visitors who stay for workations and long-term stay and overseas tourists to convey the area's attractiveness and enjoy local cuisine, leading to rural revitalization increasing in the number of people involved.

There are many programs that both adults and children can enjoy, such as making Chobojiru soup, barrel sushi and rolled sushi using seafood caught at the local fishing port, strawberry picking, blueberry picking, and other experiences that allow you to come into contact with nature and animals.
TASTE

EXPERIENCE
We have plenty of experiences available for everyone to enjoy, from local cuisine to feeding the animals.

The fillings, black beans and glutinous rice flour dumplings, are highly nutritious, and the radish is said to have the effect of flushing out old blood and purifying the blood. It was customary for mothers to make chobo soup for their daughters to recover after giving birth, and for their daughters to eat to improve milk production after giving birth. At the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Festival held every year on January 15th, members of the Kita Awaji Tsutano Association serve homemade chobo soup.
We prepare traditional local specialties of Awaji Island, which have been passed down from the Edo period to the next generation!

This is a sushi-making experience using fresh seafood from Awaji Island. For vegans, we will change the ingredients so please consult us in advance.

Kairi is an old Japanese-style house restaurant nestled quietly on a hillside overlooking the terraced rice paddies of the Ikuta area. The chef, born in a fishing town on Awaji Island, opened the restaurant in the spring of 2024, hoping to offer cuisine that uses abundant local ingredients. The owner-chef, Michiru Okano, retired from the design office where he worked and went to France to train as a chef. Since then, he has worked in three-star restaurants, famous hotels, and Japanese restaurants. He serves genreless dishes with a local flavor using various ingredients (vegetables, livestock, seafood, etc.) from Awaji Island. We serve only "The Chef's Recommended Specials" because we want our guests to feel the seasonality of Awaji Island.

Ten years ago, we moved to Awaji Island from Osaka, drawn by the island's rich nature. Our family's business is tomato farming, and we also cultivate a variety of vegetables, herbs, roses, and fruit trees in a field that overlooks the sea. We take pride in serving dishes made with the freshest vegetables and locally sourced fish, meat, and chicken from Awaji Island.

At B&B Turning Point, we want you to taste the essence of Awaji Island's finest ingredients. Awaji Island, known as "Miketsukuni," the land of delicacies, is a community that takes pride in its culinary heritage. The sea surrounding the island provides delicious seafood all year round, and its rich environment nurtures the vegetables and livestock products grown carefully. Our delicious vegetables and Awaji rice come from nearby farmers, and fish and shellfish from the nearby sea come from fishermen who know each other. Our Awaji beef comes directly from a local butcher, and eggs from a nearby poultry farm are purely domestic. This local connection is what makes our dishes truly special. Our owner and staff put their heart into every dish, carefully preparing them to bring out the true flavors of the local ingredients.

We grow wine grapes on the mountains overlooking Osaka Bay, and sell wine made from grapes from our own vineyards. The grapes are grown in fields close to the sea where the sea breeze blows, and the wine made from the grapes harvested has a fruity aroma with hints of sea breeze and minerals, and a slightly salty taste, making it a wine that can be enjoyed with a meal. Various tasks are carried out in the vineyards throughout the year, from pruning in January to harvesting in August and September, and post-harvest work. You can experience wine grape cultivation all year round.

The only natto shop on Awaji Island that offers [Kishi Natto] and [Koji Natto]. [Kishi Natto] is handmade natto made by wrapping rare large beans from all over Japan in a wooden box and fermenting it. The taste and aroma of the soybeans stand out. In addition to the five regular varieties, there is also a monthly special natto made with extremely rare soybeans. The signature product, [Koji Natto], is a new sensational natto made by combining rice koji and natto with vegetables and kelp, seasoning and fermenting them. The rice koji enhances the sweetness and umami, and suppresses the odor. This natto is highly rated by both people who like natto and those who don't.

We hope you will relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. It was in 1985 that the previous owner fell in love with the sunsets in this area and started the inn. Since then, our family has been improving the facilities, focusing on food, and listening to the opinions of our guests. We hope to offer travel suggestions that are unique to the cottage. We offer a dining room where you can watch the sunset over the Seto Inland Sea. Please enjoy reading picture books and drinking at the "picture book bar" in the cottage while being healed by the wood stove fire.
